Activities
Whether you are staying in the lodge, cabins, or on the campground, you will have complete access to a variety of activities. From mini-golf and swimming during the day to live music entertainment at night, as well as shuttle services to nearby Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse for their lighting ceremonies, your choice of entertainment and fun is entirely up to you! Most importantly, the beauty of the Black Hills and adventure it provides will have you not wanting to leave!
Our Resort Fee Program: As part of your stay, a $5 nightly fee allows everyone registered in your party to enjoy the following activities:
KOA Splash Park
Our Splash Park features the latest in aqua recreation for family fun. With water cannons, ground geysers, and cylinder sprays, young and old will enjoy their time cooling off from the summer heat.
KOA Jumping Pillow
Kids with the urge to jump on the bed will love this huge, inflatable, pillow-shaped jumping structure. The jumping pillow is one of the newest and hottest recreational amenities around. They are safe and fun for kids and adults alike.
Hill City Slickers
These local entertainers play a variety of cowboy, bluegrass, folk songs, oldies, and fun originals. Guest participation is always a must - singing along and howling at the moon are just a few of the things the Hill City Slickers incorporate into their performance.
Miniature Golf
Nine holes of putting fun can be found at the Kowboy Kountry Klub, a course built around an Old West theme.
Waterslide
Our waterslide provides fun for the entire family and the best way to stay cool and refreshed. It’s perfect after Harney Peak hike or a bike ride on the Mickelson Trail.
Also included in the fee: Wi-Fi access, swimming pools, giant chess and checkers, children’s activities, movies, hayrides, horseshoes, sand volleyball and basketball.

The following items are available for an additional fee.
Shuttle Service to Mt. Rushmore or Crazy Horse lighting ceremonies
Take a shuttle to either the Mt. Rushmore or Crazy Horse lighting ceremonies - see their multimedia program and view of these mountains at night. Service available Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Bike Rentals
Fun Cycles and Banana Peels are available to ride and for a relaxing trek.
Car Rental
Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, Wildlife Loop Road, Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway, and Spearfish Canyon National Scenic Byway all are beautiful drives in the Black Hills with breathtaking scenery and ample wildlife. You will want to leave your RV parked and get your own car rental for your own tour of the Hills. All sizes are available. Entrance pass to Custer State Park is included.
Palmer Gulch Stables
Experience the Black Hills on horseback! Several different trail rides are available for the beginner to mature rider. Scenic rides are available through the Black Elk Wilderness Area in the Black Hills National Forest. Also, a popular ride is the Cowboy Breakfast Ride which gives you the company of a good horse and a hearty cowboy breakfast of French toast, sausage, hash browns, fruit salad, and coffee and juice.
Chuck Wagon Dinner Ride
Chuck Wagon Dinner Ride offers the most authentic chuck wagon supper show in the Black Hills. Guests are even picked up on horse drawn wagons! Enjoy a taste of the cowboy life with a steak dinner, campfire, and a country music show!
